Our Team

Rosana Rodrigues is a co-founder and partner of TFRA Law Firm. Her work mainly involves advising foreign investors in Portugal, particularly in areas of Corporate and Tax law. She has also worked extensively in Shipping law.

Before founding TFRA Law Firm, she was a legal adviser to the Vice Presidency of the Regional Government of Madeira.

At MCS, she has been a board member of several international service companies operating in the Madeira International Business Center throughout her career.

She graduated from Lisbon University Law Faculty in the field of legal sciences.

She has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 1990.

She is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Italian.

Ambrosio Jardim has, since 1998, worked mainly in the areas of commercial law (corporate, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring and planning), national and international tax law and real estate.

He has specialized in the support and ongoing advice to foreign investors in Portugal and the support and consultancy in the internationalization of Portuguese companies.

He has sat on the Board of several multinational companies operating within the institutional framework of the Madeira International Business Center.

Ambrosio Jardim is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2001 and a member of the International Tax Planning Association (ITPA).

Ambrosio Jardim is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Miguel Pinto-Correia holds a Master Degree in International Economics and European Studies from ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management and a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics. He is a permanent member of the Order of the Economists (Ordem dos Economistas), and within the Order, he is a fellow of the College of Political Economy.

Before joining MCS, he was Project Management Director in the medical devices/pharmaceutical field, tax consultant (Personal Income Taxation) in a Big Four and technical adviser on Small Island Economies and Jurisdictions to a Member of the European Parliament.

Miguel is also a columnist for regional and (inter)national news outlets.

He is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Lília has graduated in 2002 with a law degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

She joined MCS’s legal team in 2003, providing support to the legal department in corporate and shipping. Having interrupted her functions between 2007 and 2013, when she was City Councilor for Machico municipality.

Lília is fluent in English and understands French and Italian.

She is a Member of the Portuguese Lawyer’s Bar since 2005.

Laurinda holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the South African Institute of Administration and Commerce.

Since 1995 she has been a member of the Order of Certified Accountants (Ordem dos Contabilistas Ceritificados), the Portuguese board of chartered accountants. In 1999 Laurinda obtained the Diploma of Quality Auditor from the Agesfal Management Institute. In the following year, she became a Certified Real Estate Agent through the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Laurinda joined the MCS team in 2011.

She is fluent in Portuguese, English and Afrikaans.

Iolanda Almeida holds a bachelor degree in Management from Universidade da Madeira.

Her entire career has been linked to accounting, having held several in other management companies companies.

Iolanda has joined MCS in 2018 as a Certified Public Accountant and is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Ricardo holds a bachelor degree in management from Instituto Superior de Administração e Línguas and has been working at MCS for more than 20 years. Due to its professional and academic background he is charged with providing independent and objective evaluations of the company’s financial and operational business activities, in cooperation with the departments for Strategic Development and Accounting.

Apart from the role mentioned above Ricardo oversees, together with the Financial & Compliance department all transactions and payments.

Pedro provides administrative support to all departments at MCS, helping operations run smoothly between MCS and its governmental and third-party stakeholders.

In addition to the role above, Pedro liaises with couriers, posts, Tax Authority and Social Security assuring that our clients comply with their obligations, paperwork deadlines and archiving.

Rosalina Paixão is Secretary at MCS. She provides direct administrative support not only to MCS but to several clients.

Her experience spans more than 20 years, having integrated, before joining MCS, several companies in the legal, mining and oil sectors.

Rosalina is fluent in Portuguese and English.
